Tim Christopher is a 3rd generation Oregonian, and spent much of his childhood on his grandparents farms in Tualatin and Hood River. After graduating from high school, Tim enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at the Joint Expeditionary Base in Little Creek Virginia. During his time in the service he traveled to many countries, including Spain, France, Italy, Cuba, and Liberia, Africa to name a few.
After his time in the military, he attended Eastern Oregon University and received his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He was then accepted to Portland State University where he earned his first Masters Degree in Political Science, focusing on International Relations and Comparative Politics.
Working with the Northwest Chicken Council allows Tim to combine his interests in the cultures and foods of the world with his study of political science, giving him the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life.
As chef Marco Pierre White said, “When you roast a chicken perfectly, there's nothing more delicious.”
